History
The Holland Wave Homeschool Basketball program has been serving the Holland/Zeeland area homeschoolers for over 10 years. We strive to not only coach our players to play well, but we also focus on character development in our players.
Purpose and Mission
Holland Wave exists to provide homeschool families with a competitive basketball experience that prioritizes character and skill development. By the grace of Jesus Christ, we seek to foster integrity, teamwork, and a desire to serve others, while encouraging participants to see the goodness and glory of God in everything we do (1 Corinthians 10:31).
MHSSA Member
The Holland Wave Homeschool Basketball program is part of the Michigan Home School Sports Association (MHSSA). This is an association of other homeschool basketball programs located within the state of Michigan that all have adopted and abide by certain age and eligibility requirements.

Team placement is detemined by the player's age on August 1. These are the teams we're working to field this season:
Boys: 10U*, 12U*, 14U, 16U*, and 18U
Girls: 12U, 14U, and 16U
*These teams are full or almost full. For no fee, register to be on the waitlist as needed, especially for 16U boys. For our 16U boys team, there's still a good chance you'll get a chance to play for Wave.
Practices & Games
Practices will start in October or November, depending on the team. Typically, practice facilities are in Holland or Zeeland.
Regular season games usually start in December and go through the second week of February.
The season culminates in a state tournament, usually the second weekend of February, in Mount Pleasant. Tournament games begin on Friday with semi-final games ending on Saturday.
The state championship final games for each gender and age division will then be played two weeks later, usually the first Saturday in March.
